Karat is rolling out monthly invoicing for crypto payout fees to eligible organizations. Instead of charging the fee with each payment, Karat collects the period’s crypto payout fees on a single monthly invoice.

How monthly invoicing works

When monthly invoicing is active for your organization:
  • Crypto payout fees show as Invoiced separately when you send a payment. The fee is not charged with the payout.
  • Karat sends one invoice each month covering all crypto payout fees from that billing period.
  • Monthly invoicing requires the Sender pays fee setting and applies to crypto payouts only.
For the fee amounts themselves, see Payments fees.

Choosing your invoice day

A Fee invoice day card appears in your Payments Settings when monthly invoicing is active. From the card you can:
  • See which day of the month your invoice is issued and the next invoice date
  • See your last invoice, including the billing period, amount, and status
  • Change the day of the month your invoice is issued (1st through 28th)
You can change the invoice day once per billing cycle. The change takes effect after your next invoice, so the current billing period still closes on the day you were originally told.
Only users who can initiate payouts can change the invoice day. Other users see the card as read-only.
