You can manage your personal details, subscription, security settings, mailing address, and your business and ownership information directly from your dashboard under Settings. Go to Settings > General to view and update the information outlined below.

Personal information

Under Settings > General > Personal information , you can view your name, email and phone number. Email and phone number are not self-serve: select Contact Concierge on those fields to open a popover where you can copy concierge@trykarat.com or open your default email app with a pre-filled message.

Manage your Karat Premium subscription

If you have Karat Premium, you can view or cancel it under Settings > General > Manage Karat Premium subscription. See How to cancel Karat Premium subscription.

Security settings

Under Settings > General > Security, you can:
  • Change your password
  • Enable or disable two-factor authentication (2FA)
We strongly recommend keeping two-factor authentication turned on for additional account protection. If you’ve forgotten your password, go to app.trykarat.com and click Forgot Password? on the login screen to reset it.

Address

Your billing address is used for account verification, card statements and related documentation. If you need to update it, select Contact Concierge in the Billing address section to copy our email address or open your default email app. Your mailing address is used for physical card deliveries and other correspondence. To update, go to Settings > General > Mailing Address, choose your country, enter the updated address, and click Save. The form loads the current list of supported countries and validates each field against the postal format for the country you pick. International (non-U.S.) mailing addresses are supported. Mailing addresses must be deliverable physical addresses. P.O. boxes are not supported for card delivery.

Non-U.S. addresses and physical Karat Charge Cards

Physical Karat Charge Cards can currently only be shipped to U.S. addresses. If you enter a non-U.S. address and you have a physical Charge Card (or one is pending), the form displays a notice: “Credit cards cannot currently be shipped outside the US.” If a physical Banking card is also pending, the notice adds that your Banking card will still be shipped normally. Physical Banking cards ship internationally. To receive a physical Charge Card, update your mailing address to a valid U.S. address before it is issued. See Company address requirements for details.

Company profile and account owners

Under Settings > Company profile, you can review your business information and account owners. To request changes, select Edit. Karat reviews your request before the changes take effect. Settings also includes a My profile tab with your own owner record: legal name, mailing address, ownership percentage, and the last four digits of your SSN or passport. The Company profile tab holds the business record on file: legal business name, DBA, EIN (masked), state and date of incorporation, business structure (including Single-Member LLC), business description, vertical, employee count, annual revenue, business address, and website (with an I don’t have a website attestation). Both tabs are read-only by default. Users with the Business Information permission see an Edit action; users without it can view but not propose changes.

Proposing edits with the wizard

Select Edit on either tab to open a step-based wizard. You can update only the fields you have access to, and only the fields you change are submitted.
  • Entities (LLC, Single-Member LLC, C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, etc.) see the full flow: Business information → Ownership details → Business address → Review. The Ownership details step covers both your own owner record and any other owners on file, and lets you add or remove owners in the same request.
  • Sole proprietors see a shorter flow and do not see entity-only fields such as DBA, EIN, state and date of incorporation, or ownership percentage. If you change the business structure to an entity type in the wizard (for example, sole proprietor to LLC), the EIN field appears so you can supply it in the same request. If you change from an entity to sole proprietor, the wizard walks you through confirming that other owners will be removed.
On the Business address step, you can toggle Use my personal mailing address to copy your mailing address onto the business record instead of typing it again. On the Review step, the wizard shows a summary organized into Business information, Ownership details, and Business address. Each owner is labeled Added, Updated, or Removed. Sensitive values like EIN and SSN stay masked. Select the edit link next to any section to jump back to that step without losing your other changes, then select Submit. If an earlier step still has validation errors, the wizard jumps to the first step that needs attention. Every submission runs a full validation of your business and owner records, so if an existing owner on file has incomplete information (for example, a missing address or title), you’ll be prompted to complete it before the request can be submitted. The wizard doesn’t save drafts. If you try to navigate away with unsaved changes, a Leave without saving? dialog lets you Stay or Leave. If someone on your team or a Karat admin updates the same records in another session before you submit, you’ll see Business information changed while you were on this page. Reload the page and try again. and the Continue and Submit buttons stay disabled until you reload. As you edit, the wizard previews your changes against your linked payment provider (for example, your bank). If a specific change isn’t supported by that provider, the affected field is disabled inline with the notice Your linked payment provider can’t support this change. and Submit stays disabled until you clear or revert the blocked value.

Pending state

While an update request is under review:
  • Both tabs are locked for editing and show a summary card at the top of the page.
  • Each field you proposed a change to displays a PENDING badge next to the current value. Owners scheduled to be added show a PENDING badge; owners scheduled to be removed show PENDING REMOVAL.
  • If you submitted the request yourself, you can Cancel it from the summary card to unlock editing again. Requests submitted by other owners cannot be cancelled from your account.
The tabs refresh themselves while a request is pending, so when Karat approves or declines the request you’ll see the update within a few seconds without reloading the page. The Edit action is also disabled while a Karat product application is under review: for example, while your Karat Card or Karat Banking application is being processed. Editing becomes available again once the application decision is finalized.

What’s self-serve vs. Concierge-only

Self-serve through the wizard: legal name, mailing address, ownership percentage; legal business name, DBA, EIN, business structure, state and date of incorporation, business address, website, business description, vertical, employee count, and annual revenue; adding and removing owners. Still Concierge-only (select Contact Concierge next to the field): email, phone number, and SSN (only the last four digits are shown). You can propose a new EIN through the wizard, but clearing an existing EIN without providing a new one isn’t supported. Contact Concierge if you need to remove one.

Approval and email notifications

Karat reviews each update request. When the review completes, the person who submitted the request receives an email:
  • Approved: the change is now live on your account. The email links back to Settings > Company profile so you can confirm the new values.
  • Declined: the change was not applied. The email links back to Settings > Company profile so you can review and resubmit if needed.
Self-cancelled requests do not trigger an email. In the Ownership details section of the edit form:
  • Adding an owner without an SSN: When you add a new owner, select I don’t have a SSN to enter the owner’s passport number, nationality, and passport expiration date instead. This works the same way as during onboarding. The passport details appear on the Review step.
  • Choosing who runs the business: Select a person from the required Who is primarily responsible for running this business? dropdown. This is typically the CEO, founder, or another individual who manages day-to-day operations. The list includes every owner, including owners you add in the same edit. You can’t select an owner who has no email or phone number on file. If you remove the selected owner, choose someone else before you continue. Your selection appears on the Review step. Sole proprietorships don’t need to make this selection.
While your account is moving to a new bank program, you can’t edit your company profile until your accounts on the new program are set up. During this time, Edit is disabled and an Editing temporarily unavailable alert explains why. If you have access to the Migration Center, select Go to Migration Center in the alert to check your migration. Once Karat finishes setting up your accounts on the new program, you can edit your company profile again, even if other migration steps are still in progress.

Requesting banking limit changes
