You can export your Payments recipients as a CSV file directly from the Recipients tab. Use this to reconcile your recipients in Karat with external systems like your accounting tool or HRIS, or to keep a local copy of tax forms on file.

Export your recipients

  1. Open the export modal. Go to Banking > Payments, open the Recipients tab, and click Export above the recipients table.
  2. Filter the recipients you want to export. The export includes every recipient currently matching the filters on the Recipients table. Before opening the modal, narrow the table using:
    • Search: match by recipient name, nickname, or email.
    • Status: filter by one or more of Created, Active, Recipient action needed, Pending, or Approved. If no statuses are selected, all recipients are included.
  3. Choose whether to include tax forms. In the modal, check Include latest tax PDFs when available to bundle each recipient’s most recent W-9 or W-8 with the CSV. When this option is selected, the download is a zip file containing the CSV and the tax form PDFs. Leave it unchecked to download just the CSV.
  4. Start the export. Click Export. Large exports keep running in the background, so you can close the modal and come back later: your in-progress and recent exports appear in the modal’s history list.
  5. Download the file. Once an export is ready, click Download next to it in the history list. If an export fails, click Retry to run it again with the same filters. Exports remain available to download for a limited time after they finish.
