Karat Bookkeeping includes SMS expense categorization and account syncing. To manage SMS settings:
  1. Go to Settings > Bookkeeping
  2. Under SMS settings, toggle Categorize expenses with SMS on or off
When enabled, you’ll receive a text after eligible transactions asking you to categorize the expense. This helps keep your books updated in real time.

Manage connected accounts (Bookkeeping)

To manage synced financial accounts:
  1. Go to Settings > Bookkeeping
  2. Under Connected accounts, click Manage accounts
From here, you can: view synced accounts, add additional accounts, and update or refresh connections. Keeping accounts connected ensures your P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports remain accurate. Karat is a financial technology company, not a bank.
