The Karat Card is a custom Visa® Business Credit Card designed for creators, creative freelancers, and creative-led businesses. It helps you manage business expenses and access a spending limit that reflects your business activity and growth potential.

How the Card works

The Karat Card is a business credit card and should be used for purchases related to your business.
The Karat Card is a charge card, which means your statement balance must be paid in full each month.
The Karat Card is a Visa® and can be used anywhere Visa is accepted, both domestically and internationally.
Karat Card does not charge foreign exchange fees on international purchases.
There is no annual fee to maintain the Karat Card.

Customized rewards

The Karat Card offers customized rewards categories tailored to creator businesses. When you join, you select categories aligned with your spending. You earn 1 to 3 points per dollar spent, depending on your selected categories. Points can be redeemed for: Times Square billboards, custom merch, podcast studio time, creator-focus rewads, and statement credits. Our rewards are designed around the tools and opportunities creators actually use.

Custom metal design

The Karat Card is made of stainless steel and can be customized with your logo or design. You submit your design during the application process. After approval, your card is laser-engraved and shipped to you.

Underwriting & credit building

Karat takes a broader approach to underwriting than traditional lenders. In addition to credit profile considerations, we review:
  • Cash flow and bank account history
  • Current cash on hand
  • Social performance and engagement
This allows us to determine a spending limit that reflects your business activity and growth.

Designed to Help Build Credit

Responsible use of the Karat Card can help build your personal credit history over time. Because the card requires your balance to be paid in full each month, consistent on-time payments may contribute positively to your credit profile. Establishing credit history can support future financial milestones, such as renting an apartment, financing equipment, or applying for other forms of credit. Karat is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services provided by Grasshopper Bank, N.A., Member FDIC. The Karat Visa® Business Credit Card is issued by Cross River Bank, Member FDIC, and pursuant to a license from Visa️ USA.
