Each Karat application is reviewed carefully by our team. Decisions are based on whether the information provided meets our eligibility, compliance, and underwriting requirements. Because reviews may involve sensitive regulatory and risk considerations, we’re not able to share specific details about why an application was not approved. Applications may be declined for a variety of reasons, including:
  • Missing or unverifiable documentation
  • Incomplete information
  • Eligibility requirements not being met
  • Underwriting or risk considerations (for the Karat Card)
  • Compliance or identity verification issues
