# Environments

> Connect to the Karat Payout API base URL and request sandbox access to test your integration before sending real money to recipients.

## Base URL

All Payout API requests are made to:

## Sandbox access

Sandbox lets you build and test your integration without moving real money. To
get sandbox access, contact [peter@trykarat.com](mailto:peter@trykarat.com).

Once sandbox is enabled on your account, you can use the pre-configured test
recipients to simulate different payout outcomes and error scenarios. See
[Sandbox testing](/developers/sandbox-testing).
