# Account review after late or returned payments

Accounts that experience late or returned payments may be placed into a standard account review process.

## What this means

During a review:

* Your Karat Card may remain paused
* Your credit line may be temporarily restricted
* Certain account features may be limited

Reviews help us assess account status and determine next steps.

## Review outcomes

Once the review is complete, your account may:

* Be restored to active status
* Remain restricted
* Require additional action before reactivation
* Be closed in certain circumstances

We are unable to confirm the outcome of a review until it has been completed.

## What you can do

To help expedite the process:

* Resolve any outstanding balance
* Ensure your linked bank account is active and funded
* Respond promptly to any information requests from our team
