# Holidays and bank closures (2026)

Karat and our partner banks observe U.S. federal banking holidays. On these dates, banks are closed and certain payment types will not be processed until the next business day.

This may affect ACH transfers, wire transfers, check processing, and other scheduled transactions.

* **New Years Day** Thursday, January 1, 2026
* **Martin Luther King Jr. Day** Monday, January 19, 2026
* **President’s Day** Monday, February 16, 2026
* **Memorial Day** Monday, May 25, 2026
* **Juneteenth** Friday, June 19, 2026
* **Independence Day** Saturday, July 4, 2026 (Observed on July 3rd)
* **Labor Day** Monday, September 7, 2026
* **Indigenous Peoples’ Day** Monday, October 12, 2026
* **Veterans Day** Wednesday, November 11, 2026
* **Thanksgiving Day** Thursday, November 26, 2026
* **Christmas Day** Friday, December 25, 2026

If a holiday falls on a weekend, it is typically observed on the nearest weekday:

* Saturday holidays are observed on Friday
* Sunday holidays are observed on Monday

Support response times may also be impacted during federal holidays.
